A lively market town with a rich heritage, Boston has a wealth of excellent facilities including superb schools and colleges, hospitals, the Blackfriars theatre and a recently refurbished cinema. During the 11th and 12th centuries, Boston developed into a substantial port, which in its heyday rivalled London in terms of trade and revenue.

Today it remains a thriving town, hosting popular twice weekly markets as well as a monthly Farmer’s Market showcasing the best of Lincolnshire’s produce. The town is dominated by the magnificent St Boltoph’s church, known locally as the Boston Stump, a 272ft monument to medieval workmanship and the largest parish church in England.

Boston boasts an enviable collection of shops ranging from major high street names to specialist shops and boutiques. You will also find an inviting selection of pubs and restaurants, offering a range of cuisines.

The town is served by a wide range of sporting and leisure facilities, with golf courses, leisure centres, tennis courts and horse riding. But for those who simply want to get away from the bustle of the town, miles of peaceful unspoilt coastlines and countryside are only minutes away. Boston’s Marina is open to motor cruisers and leisure craft, regular boat trips run up and down the river as well as out to the Wash where seals sunbathe on the tidal sand banks.
