Amelia takes top prize in colouring competition

A Lincoln schoolgirl scooped the top prize in a recent Chestnut Homes colouring in competition.

Amelia Mozrek won a family voucher to the Woodside Wildlife Park after taking first prize in the competition, which was arranged after pupils from St Peter at Gowts Primary School visited LN6, Chestnut Homes’ development off Westbrooke Road in Lincoln.

The children were asked to use their imagination when colouring in the picture of a house, and Amelia’s entry was given top marks when judged by the developer’s staff.

David Newton, Managing Director for Chestnut Homes, said: “We were all very impressed by the entries we received from the children at St Peter at Gowts Primary School, and we certainly found it very difficult to pick a winner.

“All of the children made a great effort and took a lot of time with their entries, so we’d like to say well done and thank you to everybody who took part.

“We’ve developed a great relationship with the school, and anything which provides some fun for the children is something we are happy to support.

“Amelia’s entry was fantastic, and we hope she enjoys the trip to Woodside Wildlife Park.”

The year three and four pupils from St Peter at Gowts Primary School visited LN6, a development of 52 homes, in May.

During the visit they were given a tour of the site by Chestnut Homes’ Land and Development team, Neil Kempster, Rebecca Archer and Jessica Sargeant.
