Bridgeways the perfect package for business owners Simon and Marina
Lincolnshire couple Simon and Marina Wittey are already feeling the benefits of downsizing from their old home into a new build property.
The business owners, who run Louth-based Extrupol Packaging Ltd, had spent a small fortune on renovations to their previous home in Theddlethorpe over the years and were keen to find a new place which didn’t require so much care and attention. After visiting several new homes developments in the area, Simon (69) and Marina (57) fell in love with Bridgeways, a collection of two, three and four-bedroom properties being built in Alford.
Marina, who was a gastroenterologist for 20 years in her native Russia before moving to the UK with Simon, said: “The quality really catches your eye. Our previous home was built in the 1970s and although it was beautiful, it is extremely hard to maintain an older home. “We spent lots of money on renovations in our previous property and we wanted a home that was ours and wouldn’t require immediate attention. I’m really glad we made this decision; we are feeling the benefits of this choice already. “Not only is the home extremely high-quality, the entire estate is wonderful. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and layout of the homes. It’s very well planned and none of the homes overlook one another, which was another reason we chose to move here. “We looked at a few different new build developments but when it came down to it, Chestnut Homes had the edge in both quality and price.”
Simon and Marina purchased a Lodge house type, a three-bedroom detached property with an external garage.
“When we looked around the development, we made an instant decision and reserved right away. “The home is a great size for us and has a good-sized garden so we can create a pond for our fish. There’s also a garage, something that Simon was keen for the new home to include.”
