Builders down tools to take part in Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning

The teams at Chestnut Homes’ developments across the county downed tools to enjoy cake and a cuppa this morning, raising £453.14 for charity.

The county housebuilder’s teams at five sites – in Lincoln, Scothern, Boston, Alford and Skegness – stopped work to enjoy cake and a hot drink as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

David Newton, Managing Director of Chestnut Homes, said: “We are always proud to support worthy causes and our teams had a great coffee break while raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

“The charity delivers a vital service, and we are glad that our donation can in some small way help them to continue to do this.”

Macmillan provides support to patients from the point of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.

Chestnut Homes was one of thousands of organisations which took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning today.

Last year alone the event raised £25m, and it has raised more than £138m since its inception in 1991.
