Bungalows are as popular as ever in Lincolnshire

With bungalows retaining their appeal for homebuyers in Lincolnshire, Chestnut Homes is meeting the demand for single-storey living at its Manor Farm development in Bardney.

Nearly 10 per cent of the new homes currently being built at Manor Farm are bungalows, providing much-needed homes for those who like the idea of life on one level. While bungalows have traditionally been popular with older buyers or those with mobility problems, they have increasing appeal with younger buyers too.  Indeed, those who’ve opted to live in bungalows are the happiest homeowners in the county, according to a survey by online estate agent Tepilo.

Sales Manager for Chestnut Homes, Helene Key, said: “At Chestnut Homes, we always try to listen and pay attention to exactly what our prospective customers want, which is why we have built a selection of bungalows at our Manor Farm development. “The interest we’ve seen in the bungalows at Manor Farm reflects the fact that Lincolnshire needs single-storey homes, especially as they are continuing to be so popular with house-hunters aged 65 and over, as well as first-time buyers and young families.”

There’s a choice of bungalows remaining for sale at Manor Farm – the two-bedroom The Moorcroft, priced at £210,950 and the three-bedroom The Winstone, at £269,950.
