Chestnut Homes proud to support Active Lincolnshire
Chestnut Homes were proud to be part of the Active Lincolnshire launch at Lincoln Castle on 31st March.
Active Lincolnshire, the new name for the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, is tasked with getting the inactive people in Lincolnshire more active. Their vision is to get 20,021 people more active by 2021. This could be through activity such as walking, gardening or cycling to the shops. It is hoped that by getting more people active pressure on local health services will be relieved, plus it will bring both physical and mental health benefits to those getting active.
Chestnut Homes is one of many local businesses to pledge to get their staff more active.
David Newton, Managing Director of Chestnut Homes said: " We are committed to encouraging staff to be more active. We have opened a fund to pay for employees’ entrance fees to local sporting events such as the Lincoln 10k and the Castle to Coast 100 mile bike ride in June. We also have a lunchtime walking club that heads out into the beautiful country lanes which surround our Head Office in Langworth."
