Chestnut Homes welcomes four new additions to head office team

Lincolnshire housebuilder Chestnut Homes has made four key additions to its expanding head office team.

Simon Eyley has been promoted to the position of Construction Manager after three years working on site for the developer, while Rob Beeson has returned to the fold in a new role as Senior Architectural Technologist following a year’s sabbatical.

Joining them at Chestnut Homes HQ in Langworth, near Lincoln, are new recruits Steph Tilley and Chrissy Dodman, who have been taken on as Marketing Managers.

The new appointments come on the back of the privately-owned housebuilder’s most successful ever year, in which legal completions on new homes rose by 61 per cent compared to the previous year.

The company is targeting further growth this year, with a number of major developments in the pipeline, including The Quadrant, a mixed-used scheme which will deliver new housing, business premises and a community stadium for Boston.

Simon joined Chestnut Homes in April 2013 as a joiner, and has progressed through the ranks to joinery supervisor, assistant site manager and site manager.

His new role has seen him take responsibility for the build programmes at all of the company’s sites across the county.

He said: “I’m delighted to have progressed so far in my career with Chestnut Homes and I’m relishing the challenge of being construction manager at such an exciting time for the business.”

Rob, who also joined Chestnut Homes in 2013, was an architectural technician prior to his sabbatical. His new role has seen him take the lead on the production of technical drawings and building regulation applications for new developments.

He said: “It’s great to be back at Chestnut Homes and I’m really enjoying my new role with the company.

“I am also working towards a degree in Architectural Technology at Sheffield Hallam University, where I spend one day a week, and I’m grateful to be given the opportunity to study alongside my work commitments.”

Steph and Chrissy have been recruited to lead the marketing campaigns for Chestnut Homes’ new and future developments.

Steph was previously the Social Media Community Manager at Center Parcs, where she had worked for the past 11 years in a variety of sales and marketing roles.

She said: “This is a complete change of industry for me, and I am really enjoying the challenge of learning about the construction process. The team at Chestnut Homes have been extremely helpful and I’m looking forward to seeing the current projects through to fruition.”

Chrissy previously worked as a marketing executive at Newark-based PrimarySite, a leading provider of school websites.

She said: “Housebuilding is a new industry for me and I’m delighted with how things are going so far. The role has been varied and challenging and I’m looking forward to working on some more exciting campaigns for our upcoming sites.”

Chestnut Homes is currently building a number of developments across Lincolnshire, including LN6 in Lincoln, Riverside and The Quadrant in Boston, Willoughby Chase in Alford and Kings Manor in Coningsby.
