Couple find dream home and win holiday voucher with Chestnut Homes
A COUPLE have found happiness after buying their dream home in Market Rasen.
Michael Ball, 28 and midwife Georgia Ball, 29, have been together for a decade, but after many years of moving around due to Michael’s military service, they decided to set down roots and build a life for themselves in a home of their own.
Using equity from Georgia’s house sale, as well as other savings, the pair were able to put down a £80,000 deposit on their dream four-bedroom family home at Chantrey Park.
Micheal, who is now based at RAF Coningsby, and Georgia, moved into their home in April following the news they were expecting their first baby, just eight days before their first wedding anniversary this December.
Georgia said: “With Michael being in the military, he moved around a lot, and there never felt like a right time to buy a home together. Now that he is based at RAF Coningsby and I work in Grimsby, Market Rasen is the perfect location to commute to both of our jobs.
“Chestnut Homes was amazing throughout the process and made our journey so smooth We love living at Chantrey Park because it has a strong sense of community, with our neighbours bringing us drinks on move-in day and often checking in on us. It feels like a long time coming after so many years on the move, so we’re really happy to finally be able to settle into a home together.”
Not only did the pair find their dream family home, but thanks to a competition run by Chestnut Homes, they were also lucky winners of a £1,500 voucher for Center Parcs.
For a limited period, the Lincolnshire housebuilder offered buyers a chance to win a holiday to Centre Parcs when they purchased a home at one of its developments.
Georgia added: “Winning the Center Parcs vouchers was a huge surprise and we were thrilled to be able to take a relaxing babymoon together before the arrival of our little one. Feeling refreshed after our trip, we decided to add to our family once more, and welcomed our black Labrador Axel.
“With a newborn on the way and an excitable dog now part of the family, we’re looking forward to our next chapter together in Lincolnshire.”
Chantrey Park sits on the northern edge of the Market Rasen with prices starting from £181,965. The development offers a range of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes ideal for first-time buyers through to growing families and downsizers.
Helene Key, sales manager at Chestnut Homes, said: “Chantrey Park has become a popular location for movers due to its charming market town setting, scenic surroundings, local amenities, and great transport links. Each of our developments fosters a strong community spirit, and it’s wonderful to see Georgia and Michael experiencing this already.
“As a housebuilder, we want to make the dream of buying a home a reality, and with schemes like the Forces Help to Buy and many others offers we have available to help people get on the property ladder even quicker.
“Buying a home and preparing for a newborn can be stressful, so we’re pleased we could help the couple through their journey and offer them the chance to relax together. We wish Micheal and Georgia a lifetime of happiness in their new home, and the very best for this exciting new adventure together as a growing family.”
