Exciting times ahead for new Chestnut Homes Sales Manager

Chestnut Homes has welcomed a new Sales Manager to its growing team.

Sharon Gilder joins the housebuilder – based in Langworth, near Lincoln – as it approaches its 30^th anniversary next year.

Sharon will be overseeing sales at the company’s development sites across Lincolnshire.

Sharon first worked in Quality Control – including a position as a quality control officer in a brewery near Oakham, Rutland – before moving into new homes sales in 2005.

She broke into the construction industry with Barratt Homes as a sales advisor and rose through the ranks, before going on to work at David Wilson Homes.

Sharon’s most recent position before joining Chestnut Homes was as a Sales Manager with Persimmon Homes.

The keen car enthusiast and animal lover said she was looking forward to working for a privately-owned housebuilder.

Sharon said: “This is a fantastic opportunity and I can’t wait to get started. I have worked for PLCs throughout my career, so it’s a lovely change to be working with a family housebuilder, especially one which has grown so much in recent years.

“There’s a lot of exciting times ahead at Chestnut Homes and I’m thrilled to be a part of the team.”

Sharon’s interest in property stretches far beyond simply closing sales.

With a keen mind for design and acute eye for detail, she has not only drawn up and designed an extension to her current house, but completely designed her own dream home – a stone countryside cottage. 

Sharon said: “As I’ve been surrounded by new homes for most of my career, I’ve taken a real liking to creating a property and designed plans for my dream home.

“My husband and I plan to build it ourselves and eventually we want it to be our home. I create all the plans and my poor husband has had to make sense of it and build it.”

Chestnut Homes is currently building homes at developments in Lincoln, Boston, Coningsby and Alford.
