First homes snapped up at The Quadrant

The first buyers have reserved their homes at The Quadrant development in Boston.

The show village at the eagerly anticipated Chestnut Homes development opened its doors to the public on Saturday (3rd February) as the first homes went on sale.

Around 100 people visited over the course of the weekend, with a number of reservations being made.

The successful opening weekend came just days after it was announced The Quadrant would receive £3.5 million from the Government’s Housing Infrastructure Fund.

The scheme has previously benefited from funding of £4.75 million from the Government’s Growth Deal, which was negotiated by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).

When completed, The Quadrant will deliver 500 new homes, a food store, retail units, a hotel and a new football stadium for Boston United Football Club.

Construction work is currently taking place on the first two phases of the residential part of the scheme, which will see a total of 147 homes built on land between Tytton Lane East and the A16 near Wyberton.

Costa Coffee and KFC have already submitted plans to open premises at the development, and talks are ongoing with other interested parties, while work on the new stadium will get underway later this year.

The Quadrant was officially launched last week (Thursday 1st February) when VIPs enjoyed a sneak preview of the development’s four new show homes before they went on display to the public.

David Newton, Managing Director of Chestnut Homes, said: “The Quadrant is a hugely significant development for Boston and one which we are immensely proud to be delivering, so it was a great feeling to finally launch the new homes to the public.

“There is always a huge sense of anticipation every time a new site is launched, and that was definitely the case with The Quadrant, which is the largest and most eagerly anticipated development we have worked on in our 30-year history.

“There has been a fantastic response to the launch of the development, both in terms of the comments we’ve received from visitors about the show homes, and the fact that six customers have already reserved.

“The homes at The Quadrant are all brand new house types and we are extremely proud of them, but it’s what our customers think which really matters, and the response so far has been very encouraging.

“This early sales success and the applications by KFC and Costa Coffee show that there is a lot of interest and excitement around the development, which is positive for The Quadrant and for the town as a whole.”

A selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes are currently available at The Quadrant, priced from £137,500 to £269,950.
