Flagship Lincoln development earns housebuilder its highest score

The site team at Chestnut Homes’ LN6 development in Lincoln are celebrating after securing the developer’s highest ever score under the Considerate Constructors scheme.

Chestnut Homes is registered with the voluntary programme and hosts regular visits from the scheme’s judges at its development sites across Lincolnshire.

The Considerate Constructors monitor who visited LN6, off Westbrooke Road, in October was so impressed with the running of the site that they awarded the company an impressive 40 out of 50 – the highest score Chestnut Homes has received.

Rob Newton, Director of Chestnut Homes, said: “We have always been very proud to be part of the Considerate Constructors scheme and this excellent score is a testament to the hard work that all the team at LN6 have put in.

“We have been working closely with the local community, which included welcoming a group of schoolchildren to the site in May this year for a tour.

“Our standards on site are very important to us and we’re delighted that this score for LN6 means the site has achieved Performance Beyond Compliance.

“We’re pleased to set the bar high and to continue to strive to achieve the highest standards on all of our development sites.”

The Considerate Constructors scheme encourages housebuilders to adhere to standards of best practice, above and beyond the statutory requirements.

Developers are scored on the appearance of sites, as well as their efforts to respect the community, protect the environment, keep staff safe and value the workforce.

The Considerate Constructors monitor who visited LN6 praised the site’s “exemplary standards” of cleanliness and professional image, as well as the “good relationships” which Chestnut Homes had developed with neighbours.

Chestnut Homes is building a total of 52 homes at LN6.
