Team Chestnut Smash C2C2C

Yesterday our amazing team completed the C2C2C Charity Bike Ride!

Team Chestnut was made up of Jon Gothorp (friend of Chestnut Homes), Jon Blanchard (site manager), Keith Gothorp (buyer), Rob Beeson (senior architectural technologist), Rob Newton (director), Martin Hul (architectural technician), Jack Cartwright (site labourer), Sandra Gothorp (financial accountant), Neil Kempster (director), Marc Cucksey (financial accountant) and Paris Asquith (friend of Chestnut Homes).

Although this was most definitely not a race Marc was very pleased to finish first after months of training! Special mentions also to Martin and Sandra who completed the race for the first time!

The C2C2C now in its 11th year was set up by local businesses and has to date raised over £92,000. This year to mark 100 years of the RAF the route changed to take in local RAF bases and the Bomber Command Memorial at Canwick.

Managing Director David Newton said: “As a company of keen cyclists, we’ve always enjoyed taking part in the C2C2C.

“It’s a fantastic way of keeping fit and enjoying the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside while doing our bit for three great charities in the county.

“Last year the event raised £24,000 and we were extremely proud to be part of that effort, but this year we’re going to do everything we can to help beat that total.”
