Housebuilder stars in Dunholme’s Living Advent Calendar
Chestnut Homes is the latest business to feature in the village of Dunholme’s living advent calendar.
The company has decorated one of the windows of the showhome its development The Meadows in Dunholme as part of the festive display, which is being organised by Dunholme Parish Council.
The reindeer-themed window was officially unveiled on Friday 4th December, becoming the fourth of 24 windows which will be ‘opened’ in the run-up to Christmas.
Maps of the living advent calendar have been provided by the parish council so that residents can find the location of each window as they are revealed.
Laura Richardson, Clerk of Dunholme Parish Council, said: “We’re very excited about seeing all the calendar windows being unveiled across the village. All the decorated windows can be seen from a footpath and the maps we have supplied will enable residents to search for each window when they are revealed. “We wanted to give the kids of the village something exciting to do for Christmas. We’re just a few days into the calendar so far and it has already been a great success and has really helped to lift spirits in the village. “We appreciate the support of Chestnut Homes, and all the other residents and businesses, in helping to make the living advent calendar a reality. It is something we would like to continue doing so to see so many people wanting to be involved is really encouraging.”
Helene Key, Sales Manager for Chestnut Homes, said: “Hosting a living advent calendar is a fantastic idea from Dunholme Parish Council, and we are more than happy to take part in what could become an annual tradition in the village. “I would encourage residents to pick up a map and go in search of the windows that are being unveiled each day. It’s a great way to spend time with the family after what has been a tough year for everyone.”Back To News
