New affordable homes for Scothern
A collection of affordable homes have been built and formally handed over at a development in Scothern.
Developer Chestnut Homes handed over the keys to the 14 affordable homes at its development The Grange, off Heath Road, to housing association Acis.
The affordable homes have been built in the same cottage style as the development’s 16 homes which are being sold on the open market.
Of the 14 affordable homes, 10 will be made available for affordable rent, while four are for shared ownership.
David Newton, Managing Director of Chestnut Homes, said: “We are always proud to help meet the demand for new housing across Lincolnshire, including the provision of affordable homes.
“People who have grown up in villages often face the prospect of having to move further afield due to a lack of new housing, so we’re pleased to address this by building both affordable homes and new homes for sale at The Grange.”
Paul Casey, Development Consultant at Acis, said: “We are pleased to be working with Chestnut Homes on this project, and we look forward to welcoming new residents to their homes at The Grange, where I’m sure they will be very happy.”
Chestnut Homes is based in Langworth, near Lincoln, and has been building quality new homes across Lincolnshire since 1988.
Acis provides more than 6,500 affordable homes across Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
