Praise for high standards at development site in Morton
The construction team which built a development in Morton, near Gainsborough, has been recognised for its high standards of working practices.
County housebuilder Chestnut Homes has just completed building work at The Wharf 2, a development of 15 quality apartments, off Trentside.
The company and the site are signed up to the Considerate Constructors Scheme, a voluntary programme which encourages participating housebuilders to adhere to standards of best practice, above and beyond the statutory requirements.
Monitors from the scheme visited The Wharf 2 in January for the second time since construction began.
After assessing the site, the monitors awarded the development a higher score than it received for the previous visit.
Chestnut Homes Director Robert Newton said: “We are delighted by the Considerate Constructors monitor’s report, as we pride ourselves on maintaining the high standards we expect at all of our developments.
“The rising score is testament to the tireless work put in by the site manager and site team to rigorously maintain and continually push up standards.
“We recently completed construction at The Wharf 2, and we are pleased to be bringing much-needed new homes to Morton. ”
The development received a total score of 36 out of 50. Of the five categories which it was assessed under, the score improved from its previous rating in two – caring about appearance at the site and securing everyone’s safety.
The company was also praised for its relations with the local community.Back To News
