Residential Development of the Year!

A development which is revitalising a neglected piece of land in Lincoln has been named Residential Project of the Year at an industry awards event.

LN6, a development of 52 new homes on a site between Westbrooke Road and Tritton Road, scooped the honour at the inaugural Lincolnshire Construction and Property Awards on Tuesday (7th February).

The project is being built by county developer Chestnut Homes. The company is based in Langworth, near Lincoln, and has been building homes across Lincolnshire since 1988.

David Newton, Managing Director of Chestnut Homes, said: “We’re delighted that LN6 has been recognised at the Lincolnshire Construction and Property Awards.

“This award category sought a development which has created a sustainable new community and incorporated good design, both of which we are proud to have achieved at LN6.

“The development fronts onto Tritton Road, one of the main arterial routes into Lincoln city centre, and we have created a modern new neighbourhood on this prominent site.

“Our team has worked hard to bring this site forward, and winning this award is a real testament to their efforts.”

The land where LN6 is being built was previously an area of fenced off and over-grown grassland.

Chestnut Homes is building a range of new homes at the development, from two and three-bedroom houses to two-bedroom apartments and bungalows.

LN6 has proven particularly appealing to first-time buyers, who have snapped up three-quarters of the homes sold there so far.
