Showhome brings a taste of London style to Lincoln
Bringing a taste of London style to Lincoln was the inspiration for the interior design of a new show home.
Lyn Butler of 2 Die 4 Interiors took her design cues from the capital when putting together the looks for the two-bedroom showhome at LN6, a development being built off Westbrooke Road by Chestnut Homes.
Lyn used soft metallic colours throughout the two-bedroom De Ros showhome.
She said: “LN6 feels like a development for any age group and the showhome is a modern yet functional property. The open plan design gives a real sense of space.
“When it came to designing the interior, we wanted to go for something brave and bring that London look to Lincoln.”
To do this, Lyn opted for an almost industrial look, but through clever use of colours, the De Ros is stylish while remaining homely and welcoming.
She said: “We used distressed brick wallpaper throughout the open plan rooms downstairs, which is a different look, and sits well alongside the high-specification kitchen.
“We used metallic colours and items throughout the house, including many coppers and silvers.
“The second bedroom has been set up as a study area which can also serve as a guest bedroom – we styled it as a place to stay for buyers’ grown-up children, so it has a youthful look to it.
“In the master bedroom there is distressed wallpaper and we have used plenty of copper tones. The furniture takes that metallic effect further, including the aluminium mirror.
“I’m very proud of the showhome and I hope that visitors to LN6 are inspired by what they see when they look around.”
The De Ros showhome and the Sales Information Centre at LN6 are open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
