Skegness - a very British seaside town!

Skegness is the seaside town based in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, 43 miles east of Lincoln.

The town is popularly known as Skeg, Skeggy, Costa del Skeg, Skegvegas, or ‘the Blackpool of the East Coast’. It has a famous mascot, the Jolly Fisherman who bears the slogan - "Skegness is so bracing" - a reference to the chilly prevailing north-easterly winds that frequently blow off the North Sea.

Each year, Skegness attracts thousands of visitors from all over the UK with attractions such as its clean beaches, the outdoor pool, the Embassy Centre, Butlins, arcades, the fair, donkey rides, donuts and of course, its good old-fashioned fish and chips.

Chestnut Homes was founded in 1988 and has been building quality homes across Lincolnshire ever since. Find out more about our Chestnut Homes here > http://www.chestnuthomes.co.uk/find-a-new-home/
