Three quarters of homes now complete at LN6
Work is progressing at a housing development in Lincoln, where almost three-quarters of the new homes have been handed over to their owners. Chestnut Homes has finished work on 37 of the 52 new homes it is building at LN6, its development off Westbrooke Road. New residents have moved into 35 of the homes. In total, the company will build 11 affordable homes and 41 homes for sale on the open market.
David Newton, Managing Director of Chestnut Homes, said: “We started work at LN6 in 2015 and released the first homes for sale in February 2016. Now, almost three-quarters of the development is complete, with many new homeowners all settled in. It’s well known that there is a shortage of housing supply, both nationally and in Lincolnshire, and as a county developer we are proud to be addressing this with developments like LN6. We are building a range of homes to meet various peoples’ requirements at this development, including houses, bungalows and apartments. We are now working on the remaining 15 homes, which the team are well on track to complete by the summer.”
The housetypes at LN6 have all been named after Barons after Chestnut Homes sponsored the Construction Baron in 2015’s Lincoln Barons’ Charter Trail. The Construction Baron and 24 others stood in pride of place in the city centre to mark the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta.
Chestnut Homes recently received its highest-ever score under the Considerate Constructors scheme for LN6 – an impressive 40 out of 50.
