We wish to keep you informed of the steps we are taking to not only keep everyone as safe as possible, but also how we will be operating for the foreseeable future.

Construction Sites and Marketing Suites

Despite very mixed messages coming out of the Government regarding Construction Sites, in the interest of the safety and wellbeing of our staff and the wider public, on 24^th March took the decision to close all our Sites and Marketing Suites until further notice.

On-going sales

If you are in the process of purchasing a new home from us, one of our sales team will contact you to discuss how we can continue to support you through the process. All solicitors, banks, building societies, and Help to Buy continue to function, so hopefully matters can proceed. If your new home is already ready for occupation, we will discuss the ways in which we can hand the property over to you whilst meeting government guidelines, and social distancing measures. If your new home is still under construction, we can keep you informed of moving dates etc. as the situation becomes clearer.

Customer Care

Unfortunately, during the current period, we will only be able to offer an Emergency Service covering very urgent issues relating to electric, plumbing, heating and gas. This is to respect current government advice, whilst taking all necessary measures to keep all staff; contractors and customers safe and trying to minimise face to face contact. The Emergency Only service will need to be kept under review to respond to latest Government guidance. Sales

Current Purchasers - We will keep in regular contact with you to try to ensure that you are kept fully informed of the situation regarding your new home and support you all we can. Most solicitors and surveyors are continuing to work remotely, so sales can still progress well.

New Sales - We are still getting a lot of enquiries for new homes, so if you wish to discuss a potential future move, please call 01522 596716 in the first instance, or email sales@chestnuthomes.co.uk.

Site Safety

Although we had limited time to close sites, we have made them as secure as possible. Clearly if someone wishes to access a site, they will find a way of doing so. There may be plant, equipment and scaffolding erected on sites, so if the site is accessed, particularly by children or young adults, they are very dangerous places.

Therefore, we would be very grateful if you see any activity on the site at any time, please report it to us at info@chesthomes.co.uk and/or direct to the Police. Hopefully by working together we can ensure everyone is kept as safe as possible.

These are very difficult times, and many will sadly lose loved ones over the coming weeks, but if we all follow best advice and isolate, we will help keep the most vulnerable in our country as safe as possible.
